The Turkish Journal of Ophthalmology is the periodical of the Turkish Ophthalmology Society and has been published since 1971. It covers subjects on ophthalmology, being published in Turkish and in English language, and is an independent international periodical based on peer-review principles. A manuscript will be considered only with the understanding that it is an original contribution that has not been published elsewhere. The Turkish Journal of Ophthalmology is regularly published six times a year, and special issues are occasionally released.

The aim of the Turkish Journal of Ophthalmology is to publish original periodic research papers of highest scientific and clinical value on ophthalmology, continuously and in international level. Furthermore, review articles, case reports, editorial comments, letters to the editor, educational contributions and Congress/meeting announcements are released 

The Turkish Journal of Ophthalmology is indexed in the Gale/Cengage Learning, Index Copernicus, EBSCO Database, Scopus, Turkish Medline-National Citation Index, Cinahl and TUBITAK/ULAKBIM databases.

Subscription Information

The Turkish Journal of Ophthalmology is sent free of charge to the subscribers. The address changes should be immediately reported to the affiliates and to the managing editor. The subscribers who do not receive the journals in the concerning periods should refer to the managing editor. All published volumes in full text can be reached free of charge through the web site www.oftalmoloji.org. Requests for subscription should be addressed to the Turkish Ophthalmology Society.
