ÖZET

32 yaşında kadın hasta, yaklaşık 1 yıldır süren şiddetli baş ağrısı ve 3 ay önce başlayan bilateral görme kaybı şikayetleri ile kliniğimizde değerlendirildi. Hastanın yapılan fizik muayenesinde görme keskinliği her iki gözde ışık hissi düzeyinde olup, fundus muayenesinde bilateral optik atrofi izlendi. Hastanın çekilen Kraniyel Manyetik Rezonans Görüntülemesinde sağ transvers sinüste tromboz tespit edildi. Daha ileri tetkiklerinde plazmada hiperhomosisteinemi tespit edildi ve trombozun buna sekonder geliştiği anlaşıldı. Yoğun medikal ve cerrahi tedavilere karşın hastanın görme düzeyinde düzelme olmadı.

SUMMARY

A 32-year old female patient with a chief complaint of headache during the last 1 year and bilateral visual loss in the last 3 months was evaluated in our clinic. The visual acuity was light perception OU and there was optic atrophy OU. The cranial MR revealed thrombosis of right transverse sinus and further workup revealed hyperhomocystinemia, as the underlying cause. Despite vigorous medical and surgical treatment there was no improvement in the visual acuity of the patient.
